Name: Nathaniel Gage Smyth
Nickname: Gage
Age: 18
Grade: Senior
Gender: Male
Weight: 163
Height: 6'9"
Eye Color: Deep ocean blue
Hair Color: Dirty blond
Tattoos/Piercings:
UV tattoo. After full healing it is invisible to the naked eye, and slightly visible under regular lighting during healing mostly. It shows like the above under black lights. His initials are in it, just above the wrist.
“Strength“, on his right shoulder.
His sister’s first name. He got this tattoo, and the “strength” just after the accident. His way of dealing with his sister being in a coma. His way of an attempt to let go if she didn’t make it.
Gage’s first tattoo. Placed on his left shoulder/chest, him and his friends went and got it on his 18th birthday.
Scars/Birth Marks:
Located just above his left hip is a circular shaped birthmark. As for scars, almost nothing serious. As a kid, Gage loved to play tag. Unfortunately, the game went terribly wrong when chasing a friend on the bleachers. The consequences for running on them? Fifteen stitches on his right knee and no tag for awhile. Any other marks are from the usual bar brawls and his bad temper that causes fights.
Physical Appearance:
Hello, Pretty Boy…
Covering his muscular stomach his a simple white wife beater. It’s just as necessary as his boxers are. Usually, a button up polo shirt his pulled over his shoulder, whether it is buttoned or not depends on how late he is. Occasionally his everyday apparel will change with a plain colored t-shirt that fits tightly, showing off his biceps, but he never goes all out on anything. It’s kept casual and comfortable. With the exception of his t-shirts and wife beaters, all of his clothing is expensive, including the loosely fitted jeans you always see him. It doesn’t end there though, both jewelry from watches to rings are top of the line, just as the shoes on his feet. Gage can’t wear one pair of shoes for long, but he can’t get rid of what is almost perfect either, so he’s always switching between the shoes that line the shelves in his closet.
Gage’s ocean blue eyes brighten up with each smile that crosses his lips. The eyes that match his dirty blond hair that’s either spiked or left laying just above his eyebrows, are the keys to any girls heart that has the preference of the preppy blue-eyed boy. If you ask him, his stomach is his best physical feature, next to his eyes that girls just want to stare into for hours on end.

About your Character:
Personality:
Badass. Gage is the example beside the word. His own definition- fists first, names later. You'll learn, once you've made nice with him once and the relationship was ruined, there's no chance of piecing the broken friendship back together. He isn't a friendly person, obviously, but he's humorous nonetheless. Your best bet is to stay clear of him and his attitude because the friends he has now mean everything to him, he doesn't claim to need or want anymore.
However, if you're one of the few to get past his barbed wire fencing that's around his heart, consider yourself lucky. It's not very often that someone gets through to this emotionally torn teenager.
Gage has a bad temper and is easily sat off by the simplest thing. He isn't at all civil and has never claimed to be. But, as badass as he is considered, his emotions are easy to get to if you know him well enough and your opinions actually matter to him.
At first glance, you would probably expect a stuck up boy, especially because of the people he tends to hang out with. However, you'll quickly find out that he doesn't allow his appearance to get the best of him. His attitude is strictly horrible because of the person he is. His appearance isn't a top-of-the-list ordeal, he knows he can pull any outfit off. So, he may be a bit conceited...

Gage loves picking apart movies, especially when he's spending time with his friends or sister. Not only that, but he loves writing movies as well. His goal in life is to eventually make them. When his head isn't behind a video camera, he's usually caught spending time with the people he loves down at the diner. You'll usually never catch him without them by his side. Gage also has some sort of demented love for fighting physically with most every guy. And with every fight he's in, there's a few beers to wash what blood may be in his mouth down.

History:
And the sad story begins, you may want to get some tissue...
An overjoyed mother held the pregnancy test in one hand and gripped her long-term boyfriend's hand in the other. She was terrified. Two seventeen year old kids would be having their own child. The months were slow and painful, still, the two stuck together. It wasn't until the two high school sweethearts found out that there'd be two more kids to take care of that they began falling apart, becoming afraid of what the future held for them instead of looking forward to it. That night, after arguments about abortion, adoption, and keeping the unborn children, the two decided to give the kids up for adoption after birth. It must of been a heart breaking experience to have your babies taken away from you minutes after giving birth to them, but they accomplished doing so.
Growing up in the system, the twins went into a loving home as newborns, unfortunately, the adoptive parents couldn't continue the living arrangement as the two began growing up and becoming more expensive so they were back in the system for another run. At fourteen, the two were separated, not seeing each other for over three years. It was heart breaking for both of them, they had a brother/sister bond that was unbreakable, but, different family homes broke it until the two met again. Gage went to numerous houses during the three year period do to his uncontrollable temper and non-stop depression from being deprived of his sister and friends. Corinna was lucky enough to stay in one home though, and even luckier to attend the same school to continue hanging out with their childhood friends. After an unexplained incident and the death of Corinna's parents, she was back in the system for a year longer before the two were released. Rekindling their relationship, and his friendships with childhood friends, the twins bunked at their friends house.
During this time the most tragic thing of all happened. While Gage and Corinna were out looking at houses that they could possibly afford soon, a car ran the red light, sending the unbuckled Corinna out of her seat and through the windshield. Amazingly enough, after slipping into a coma for months, the young girl survived. While in the coma, a grief stricken Gage found comfort in her best friend, Baliee, forming something much more than just their average friendship. However, it has been kept a secret as best as possible from his sister and her cousin, afraid of their reaction to this new found love.
Finally, Gage was able to take her home into the comfort of her own bed, and their own house that he had gotten after the accident. Ever since the accident, Gage's guilt has caused an even bigger temper problem, especially when one feels cocky enough to speak of the accident.

He coughed, pushing off of the toilet and falling back into the wall with a thump as he ran the palm of his shaking hand over his mouth, letting out a dull 'ugh' sound. That same shaking hand then slipped into the pocket of his work pants and removed a black case. What laid inside was just what he needed. Undoing the strap that kept it together, he opened it, revealing his drug of choice today: Heroin. He had melted it earlier but the disgusted face he knew he'd receive stopped him, at the time being. Taking the filled syringe and placing it just between his lips before placing the large elastic band around his arm, knotting it tightly.
Unfortunately, an unexpected but completely familiar voice rang through his ears. He had to hurry, those footsteps were closer and that deep voice was louder, curious for his buddy's location in the rather large apartment.
Removing the syringe for his mouth, Chandler's shaking hand made a staggering line to his arm, allowing the needle to slip past his skin. Another scar that went along with all the others for him to regret after this, for Sam to notice when she came in to check up on him. Pushing the syringe down, the drug escaped into his vein. He sat there for a moment, his head leaning back until it hit the wall, a little harder then he had meant for as he wiped the forming beads of sweat from his head. Elliot was still there, he recalled, unable to move as the drug quickly took effect. His bones felt non-existent as he pushed his weakened body's weight on to the side of the bathtub after removing the needle from his arm and laying it on the cold floor. Failing, Chandler crashed back down into the floor.

One more time... What could it hurt? A lot, but he was more than willing to risk it. Once more before he would quit this horrible addiction. He needed it, after all, or so he had convinced himself while barreling over the toilet. The joy of withdrawal. Chandler had went through this before the sickness, shaking, and breaking out in cold sweats. Relapsing once more wouldn't be a surprise to his best friend, Sam, who just days before he told this was it, he was ridding himself of the life that revolved around feeling that high. They even threw his drugs out... He could remember how wide-eyed and amazed she was by how many drugs he actually had hidden in the house, how many bottles of alcohol were hidden along with his pills, needles and razor blades. He always was the forgetful type, leaving blades laying in the public bathroom after snorting cocaine. Sam wasn't aware of what things he had kept hidden from her though, not that his intention was to automatically betray her, it was just in case.He coughed, pushing off of the toilet and falling back into the wall with a thump as he ran the palm of his shaking hand over his mouth, letting out a dull 'ugh' sound.
