((Haha it's okay, I understand shit happens. =]))
Both of the girls were new, and so far the three of them had one thing in common; they unpacked this summer. Okay, so he could almost work with that and start a brilliant conversation, the key word being almost. Bobbing his head in a interested nod, Ryland turned and leaned against one of the broken enlarger stations. His palms pressed back against the wooden table as his lower back just barely met with the edge. The two girls didn't seem pleased with being near one another, it was somewhat strange. They were snapping, and all he could do was hope to keep them calm enough to get through a few minutes or so with one another. Contrary to popular belief concerning most males, he didn't enjoy the typical girl fight. It made him kind of sad...
He was a man that was all for peace.
"Oh yeah? Where from?" His attention was temporarily granted to Kalleyna as she explained her current situation, and the fact that she had just moved. He obviously knew that she was a new comer to the school, but it was an awkward thing to introduce when the person you were talking to didn't want to talk about it. Since she brought it up, he figured it was okay. Honestly he would have felt terrible if he'd upset her at all, he knew moving to a new place was probably difficult enough on her.
As it probably was for Lily.
Turning his head in Lily's direction, Ryland assumed it was safe to offer the question in her direction. "What about you Lily? Where did you move from?" This time around he wasn't asking to be polite, he was genuinely interested in both of their separate stories. It took him a moment to respond to the fact that nothing too extraordinary had happened in Lily's life, which, once he had taken notice of it, he responded immediately by relaying a gentle nudge to her arm with his own.
"Then you need to do something out of the norm, before it becomes a legitimate autumn. I know the town seems boring, but if you know the right people.. sometimes it's pretty alright." A friendly smile graced his lips as he attempted to lighten her gloomy outlook on the town, he hated when the people around him were pessimistic or down. Once more he stood in the middle of the girls, speaking in a way that was an offer to not just one of them, but both. "I'll probably be holding a party soon. Not anything crazy, just a low key.. basement show type thing. You're both welcome, in fact.. you're both the first people I'm inviting. Because.. I just thought of it now. What do you say?"
