We're Gonna Rock Around The Clock (Open)

Lily lay in her bed, her eyes were fixed on the ceiling above her. She listened to the soft sounds of her nanny making her rounds, it was like a soft rustling she could tell her parents had left. Lily kicked back the Hello Kitty covers and looked around, god she hated this place it was such a waste of her life. If it was up to her the safety of New York would be enough, Lily got off the bed and went into the bathroom. She stood there looking back at her reflection, it was her only a bit more messy. Lily's hair was well a mess, her eyeliner clung to her hazel eyes, and her faded tanktop was well faded. She began to wash and fix her hair, it seemed like such a mission on some mornings to get ready.

She came out of the bathroom, at least her face was now clean and her hair looked amazing. Lily walked to the closet and pulled down a pair of skinny jeans, she stood in the closet as she buttoned her jeans. It was so large that was the thing about Lily she was a rich kid, and well it was so annoying to have so much space. She spun around her closet it was so random but the space made her want to do that, she stopped and decided a bit of music was in order. Lily walked out to her desk and ran her finger over the mouse pad of her laptop, she left her laptop on since it was always hooked up to the wall. She squinted at the screen as different bands passed by on her Itunes, Lily eventually settled on Motion City Sound Track it made for good closet spinning. Lily clicked on Everything Is Alright and went back to the closet, but before she went in she grabbed her bra from her drawer and finished getting dressed. She eventually emerged from the closet, her hair was still in place and she was dressed in a cute Foster Home For Imaginary Friends tank top and a pair of matching flats. Lily walked back to the bathroom but not before stopping at the computer to put on 99 Red Balloons, she listened to music always it was a big part of her life ever since the family came to America.

Lily sat on the counter of her bathroom, and began to look through her make up basket. She had so much makeup it was always everywhere, whatever she wasn’t crazy about at the moment sat below the counter. Lily pulled up some blue and white eye makeup, she decided to do her make up to match Bloo the main character of the show and the little clay looking thing on her shirt. She pulled out her make up brushes and got to work, Lily had pretty good make up skills since she was a dancer. Ever since she came to Pennsylvania people stopped and stared, in this small town her audacious New York look stuck out and she loved it. That was the thing about Lily she liked to make a scene especially in such a small town, she dusted her cheeks with some shimmer powder and looked back at her reflection. The blue and white intermingled perfectly and the large amount of eyeliner still made her look mysterious, she flipped off the light and went towards her desk. That’s where she kept her purse well the one which she was using at that present moment in time, she liked to change every so often and today was no exception. Lily frowned her bag didn’t match to save her life it was a black kitty face and well she was wearing blue, She walked to her closet and pulled down a blue white hobo which matched her shirt. She began to empty the contents of her purse and found that she had left her keys in there, that only made her leaving the house easier.

She finished up her bag exchange and left the room, as she came down her nanny noticed her leaving “Non I’m gonna go eat” she told her and rushed out of the house. Lily leaned against the door of the house and sighed, she then shivered it was getting chilly lucky for her she kept a sweater in her car. She walked past the Benz which her mother drove, Lily hated the expensive cars and all that junk so instead she drove a Volkswagen. Her father didn’t argue with her or even bothered to bargain with her she just got what she wanted, it always worked like that in the Carlier family things were just given no questions asked no fuss made. Lily opened the car and sat inside the car itself was a bit warmer than the outside which was weird, she looked in backseat and pulled her blue star jacket on. She turned on the car and pulled out, Lily did like Legend Falls for one thing it was strikingly beautiful. There was something about it that made you want to stay and enjoy, but on some nights it was just creepy like it was hiding something. Being new to town she hadn’t had time to learn about the legends of Legend Falls nor did she understand why it had such a strange pull. Lily idled at the stop light, she was kept her eyes focused on the road ahead of her it was such a strange place some days it kind of scared her on some days.

Lily turned towards the Johnny Rockets, she decided to indulge in something that brought her comfort a milkshake. She turned and headed for the main drag where all the kids her age hung out, she may have not been here long but the real estate agent told her all she needed to know not that she cared. Lily pulled into a parking space and shut the car off, she then grabbed her purse and stepped out. She looked around for a second and then pulled up her sunglasses, she had that creepy feeling again why did this happen every so often. It was like something wanted to make itself known, Lily shrugged and head inside the cold air was getting to her face. Lily walked into the throwback diner it was so nice, this was the best Johnny Rockets she had ever been to. She slid onto a counter chair and waited for the counter girl to come take her order, Lily’s eyes were fixed on the old Neon clock as Hound Dog by Elvis played in the background. Lily felt so new in a town which had people who had known each other for centuries, it was odd to be sitting here waiting. She looked up when the girl from behind the counter asked her what she wanted, Lily ordered a strawberry milkshake and put her head on her bag. Lily’s eyes were transfixed on the clock which read time to eat on it, it reminded her of this place in Greenwich village. She listened as the song changed and more people came in, it bugged her at times to be so new but it didn’t matter she liked being alone anyway.

She was alone today, a shock worthy of a heart attack for some of her peers. Bailee looked around at the world around her, it stood out, much like she did. Bailee was surrounded by silver swirls, most people called them clouds, meshing together to create beautiful designs in the bluish-grey sky above her, around her. It would rain, and tonight, would be a full moon. There was a feeling in the air, a feeling of gloom that just made you want to hide, safe and warm, under your covers, locked behind the door of your house, and even then you weren't safe from the curse, the secrets that Legend Falls held.

Bailee's wavy, chocolatey brunette hair blew in the frigid winds that blew harshly past her, causing her nose to turn red, as well as her cheeks. It was chilly today, however, that was to be expected on a horrid day like today. Something bad would happen.Something always did, it was no mystery, it was routine for a day like this, full moon or not.

Bailee couldn't help but receive that chill up her spine, that shaking feeling in her fingers and the knotty feeling in her stomach. It was the effect the town had on you.

Finally making her way yo her destination, her eyes sparkled, a smile appearing on her face. She wouldn't be safe in here if something were going to happen, but she felt safer in doors than she did out doors. Besides that feeling of safety, Johnny Rockets made the best shakes in town, and when the girl at the counter turned around, she made sure she took advantage of this fact.

"A black and white shake."

"Sure Sweetie."

"Thanks"

A smile of gratitude appeared on her face as the woman turned to make the shake, appearing two minutes later with it, placing it on a napkin in front of her. It was amazing how perfectly they filled their glasses. There's wasn't too little in the glass, but there wasn't so much that when they stuck the spoon and the straw inside of the glass, it didn't overflow. Also, their shakes were perfect, never too thick, however, never too thin.

"Three dollars and fifty cents, princess."

Handing over the money, exact change, a weak smile appeared across her face. She was grateful for the friendly service, but sweetie and princess weren't exactly two names on her top ten favorite names to be called by her server. However, it didn't take her long to shrug it off, and as she sat there in tight fitted, low rise jeans, faded in some areas, and ripped around the left knee, along with black and white, hightop converse sneakers, rolled down, and a black and white t-shirt with the words "A Perfect Circle" across the chest, her eyes became focused once more on the mesmeryzing view of their town outside, not completely ignoring the girl sitting next to her.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?"

She managed to pry her eyes off of the town to focus on the black haired girl sitting next to her, her eye makeup done as one of the girls she was supposed to ignore, pretend they didn't exist. It was funny how stereotypical their town was, and she hated it, however, her hypocritical state would probably only have her acting the way she was supposed to act towards this girl come tomorrow morning in school.

"So mystifying, hypnotic..as if it holds secrets..it does."

She looked once more outside of the window of Johnny Rockets to the town that waited to consume them outside, before giving her full attention to Lillian carlier. She was cute, bubbly, had a blue clay looking cartoon on her shirt, and she matched, color coordinated was the term some might have used, or, preferred.

"I'm Bailee. You're new right?..to town?"

She offered a friendly smile, before lowering her head to place her lips around the straw sticking out of her milkshake, taking a gulp of it, creamy, chocolatey, rich. It was a wonder why she didn't come here more often for these milk shakes. She looked back up at Lillian, that warm, friendly smile still there. Stereotypes didn't matter right now, nor would they matter in the end, this town would consume them, especially those cursed to be trapped here for eternity thanks to their accusing ancestors.

((SORRY!))
Lily sat there her eyes fixed on the old vintage 50’s clock, she remembered that she had ordered a shake when the lady put down her shake in front of her and she looked up. The lady flashed her a quick smile and walked off, her eyes shifted quickly to the girl that sat next to her and placed an order. Lily could tell they had never met, but perhaps she had seen her in the halls it was hard to tell these days. Lately faces were all blending together and everyone was just looking the same to her, she sighed and sipped at her shake slowly her eyes shifting to the window past the girls head, there was a storm coming you could see it. That was one thing she couldn’t stand about Legend Falls it rained and well that wasn’t something you wanted to see when you had just gotten into town, really sucked if you asked her. Lily ran her finger over the top of the glass her eyes darted back the girl beside her, she was a prep but something about her seemed pretty okay. She looked down at the pink froth that was her shake and took a sip, Lily bit down on the straw as the girl spoke “Oh yeah it is, in a creepy The Village kind of way” she replied kind of taken aback since she hadn’t expected the girl to speak with her. Lily had barely been here a month but she was aware of the major clique separation, and well it wasn’t her business she just wanted to get in and be done with it all.

She looked back at her shake and stirred it with her straw, the girl seemed pretty decent and well why not make friends? Granted tomorrow morning it wouldn’t make a difference being that they would be back in school, but whatever one person was better than none and here she sat looking at her shake as if it was gonna dance with her or something. Lily looked back up at the girl and smiled as she talked about the town hiding secrets “Now what kind of secrets could a town like this hold? I mean yeah it’s creepy I’ll give it that, but what is it about this place that makes us drawn to it?” she asked. Lily looked back at the girl behind the counter and wondered why she had asked, yeah she did want to know about Legend Falls and it’s history since well she had heard some things. The realization about what this town was about didn’t hit her till she had gotten here and saw the place for herself, this place had a weird effect it sort of drew you in like moth’s. She sighed and looked back at the girl well she did seem nice and the question wasn’t that weird was it? Nah it was just a simple question by someone who had only been here barely a month and knew nothing.

Lily took a sip of the shake and looked over at the girl who now had introduced herself as Bailee, she did know her they were in the photography club together. She nodded and smiled “Yeah only been here a month, my name is Lily” she replied offering her hand up so that Bailee could shake it. “Your in the photography club right?” she asked now sipping her shake again.
